Many people have been asking questions about Moldavite, so lets talk! Moldavite has long been known as a sacred stone. It has been linked as far back as to 25,000 BC as being used as alter amulets and the fabled stone of the holy grail. It is wide known for rapid power, transformation, and visions of ones true destiny. Dissolving what hinders us and open up heart chakras known as the "Molavite Flush", is another amazing benefit about this stone. Healing and physical life changes amongst others... WOW I know!

NOW...

The mines are decreasing. Many of the deposits, where once moldavite had been extracted for decades, are now empty. The only way to increase this stone is for another meteor to fall to the earth. If or when that happens, would definitely be a whole different conversation!

Where do we get Moldavite? Known as the only gem from space, its formation from intense meteor showers in the Bohemian Plateau, Czech Republic in Central Europe, north of Prague. It has been categorized in the Tektite group, which has been formed from a chemical reaction, whenever a meteor hits the earth.  academic.emporia.edu

So, how do you tell the real Moldavite from a fake Moldavite stone? With the amount of moldavite mining decreasing, there is a demand that is being met with fake stones. Some tell tale signs that your Moldavite is real: most Moldavite is very hard to polish smooth, it is vulnerable to scratches and dents because it has a 5.5 hardness, and its color should be mossy green. It can be clear, however, we rarely see that. or we rarely see clear Moldavite. If you find a Moldavite that is a bright vibrant shade of green, very hard, or extremely smooth, then it may be a fake.

With the supply shortage, the price has increased 7 times, and the price of rare moldavite is even higher. The supply will keep deteriorating along with increased pricing so be aware of where and who you buy from.
