A grounding stone. Sometimes its very light gray in color; sometimes you can find really dark, smoky points. I feel the darker ones are stronger in protecting . All shades of Smoky Quartz can help reduce depression and negative emotions. Smoky Quartz helps us through hard times, brings relaxing effects, helps concentrate, protects against radiation, fortifies the nerves, and can help alleviate back problems. It can make you connect the earthly, present realm to the spiritual realm; I call Smoky Quartz a porthole or communicator to your soul and light energy, such as angels or your source. Smoky Quartz is a strong protector of your personal space or energy, keeping the area clean of negative vibes.
